Favorite Send to FastDrawFlare/lob action from Belgium's Point Series that they run at EuroBasket Women 2017. If X2 cheats and goes under the flare/back screen, 2 flares to the wing or stops behind 4's screen looking for a shot. If X2 trails 2, 2 cuts to the basket looking for a lob pass from 1. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Cleveland Caveliers ran this version of Horns in the first quarter of Game 5 in the 2017 NBA Finals. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis SLOB set was used by Princeton in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Down by 3, with under 20 seconds left, this set resulted in a wide open three point shot. I have added an elevator screen to the end of this set, in the case that the first shooter does not have a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA lot of NBA teams use the "Zipper Cut" to get the ball inbounded. It is a simple pin down, which allows the guard to sprint to the ball. This is a misdirection counter. The post slips the pin down, to receive the inbounds pass. A flare screen allows for a skip pass, which leads into a screen-the-screener action. This set allows a team to use their best shooter to cross screen for the post, before sprinting through an elevator screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawKansas State ran this misdirection BLOB in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. On the catch, the 5 dribbles towards the weak side Flare Screen, while the 2 "rips" off of a baseline screen. This BLOB resulted in a wide open three pointer. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWrinkle out of the Celtics' ATO "Zipper Iverson Keep" action. 5 fakes ball-screen for 1 then turns around to set a comeback screen for 2. 1 also has the baseline pass to 4 for Hammer action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBecause Steve Kerr has the luxury of utilizing some of the best shooters in the world, he runs great actions like this one designed specifically for them. In UCLA Rip, he places two shooters on the same side and runs them in a three-man pattern with Draymond Green at the 4. The screening and attention paid to their shooters helps the backdoor pass from Green be effective -- which is why the two players not involved in the action must be lifted on the opposite side of the floor. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a wrinkle out of an Elbow action that the Phoenix Suns used to run during the Seven Seconds or Less era. As 5 rolls to the basket, 4 sets a down screen for 2 (Klay Thompson) making it hard for the help defense to tag the roll as X2 and X4 are occupied with the downscreen action on the weakside. 4 can look to slip to the basket or lift high as X4 has rim protection duties. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boston Celtics ran this ATO action against the Washington Wizards in Game 7 of the second round of the 2017 NBA playoffs. This is a wrinkle out of their "5" action: http://www.fastmodelsports.com/library/basketball/fastdraw/151007/play-Boston-Celtics--5 Instead of passing to Isaiah Thomas coming off of the flare screen for a shot, Isaiah cuts through to the opposite side to set a back screen with a down screen option. Favorite Send to FastDraw"Iverson Loop" is a misdirection set that can be used to get a shooter an open look, or isolate a skilled player. The Iverson cut clears out the weak side. When the flare screen is set, the passer must decide if he throws the skip pass to 4, or looks at the 5 on the slip to the rim. If the ball is skipped to 4, it is for a shot, or a wing isolation is created for the player to attack. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Iverson STS Flare" is a set that creates an advantage with a ball screen, while offering an opportunity for a lob, or a 3-point shot. It is a set that can be run on multiple possessions, to generate a rhythm offensively. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Pistol Hammer" is an action that Kentucky ran during the 2017 NCAA Tournament. I have added two more screening options, and it is a terrific counter to "Pistol Action." This set has three options to generate an open 3-point look. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Pistol Invert Flare" uses an invert wing ball screen, as a wrinkle to the traditional "Pistol Action." This is especially effective, if a team is denying the wing entry. I first saw this being ran by the Cleveland Cavs. See More
