Favorite Send to FastDrawMotion offense from Germany at EuroBasket 2017. 1 dribbles at 5 for a pitch and 5 dribbles at 2 for a handoff. 3 sets a back screen for 5 then receives a down screen from 5. 3 (Staiger/Barthel) comes off the down screen looking for a shot. If 3 isn't open, offense flows into a flare screen and down screen on the left and right side of the floor respectively. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Golden State Warriors run this variation of the "Motion Weak" set to get Steph Curry into a pick & roll situation. 1 passes to the wing and cuts through the lane as the ball is reversed to 4 and back to 1. 3 sets a cross screen for 5 who sprints into the ball screen. 1 uses the ball screen to create or get an open shot for himself. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Chicago Bulls became the first 8-seed, in NBA history, to take a 2-0 lead in a best of 7 series. Late in the third quarter, with the Celtics on a run, the Bulls went to this set. It resulted in a wide open 3 for rookie, Paul Zipser. He knocked down the triple, and the Bulls never looked back. This false motion set, leads to a double down screen, which creates numerous options. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawKentucky used this FALSE MOTION in their 2017 NCAA Tournament match-up with North Carolina. This enabled the Wildcats to play through their dynamic point guard, De'Aaron Fox. It led to numerous baskets, late in the 2nd half, as Fox made the correct read. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSean Miller's Offensive sets are very creative, involve a lot of movement and do a good job changing sides of the floor. This Princeton type Motion Action invovles a lot of screening actions, incorporates two ball screens and forces the Defense to be aware of cutters and movements on the weak side. The opening action off the FT line elbow screen can yield a lob if the defender on the cutter gets hung up on the screen or is late trailing his man. Use also have the back screen Flex type cut for Trier which can get your 3 man a quick post-up or easy lay-up off the ball reversal step out from the 5 man. The play ends with either a SPNR or Step-up screen from the baseline. Well designed, easy to execute, but very hard to defend when utilizing a full shot clock. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawToday’s basketball offense breakdown comes from the 2 Out 3 In Motion Offense. Iowa State used the concepts once used by Steve Alford when he was at New Mexico. The 2 Out 3 In motion offense is very unique, which allows the post area to become open for isolation plays and opens up dribble penetration and backdoor cut plays. Iowa State made this key adjustment in the first half against Nevada when they struggled to get much out of their ball screen sets. See More
