Favorite Send to FastDrawToday's play comes from the 2005-2006 Florida Gators. This is an oldie but a goodie, I love rub cuts that lead to post-ups. What I like even more about this play is the hi-low at the end of the play that resulted in Joakim Noah having a direct drive to the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this post play option from the Ragin Cajuns, the point guard dribbles up the left side of the floor towards the wing. As 1 is dribbling towards the wing, 3 clears from the ball-side corner to the opposite side of the floor. 3 cuts around 5 trying to get 5's defender to worry about the cut. As 3 clears to the opposite side, 5 steps around for a post-up option from 1. If the post-up isn't there, 5 steps out to set a ball-screen. 4 moves to the ball-side corner, 1 drives, and 5 rolls to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 dribbles right pushing 3 into the lane to loop around 5 to replace 1. 1 passes to 3. 4 and 2 move down to the baseline as 3 is looping out to the perimeter. 3 dribbles right as 2 cuts along the baseline rubbing off of 4 at the low post. 3 looks to pass inside to 4. If the post-up isn't open, 2 cuts off of a double down-screen from 1 and 5 for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNew Mexico State used this play early in the first half against Kansas. The play resulted with a foul on Kansas, but the Aggies are showing quality actions to get open post-ups and shots. The play starts with the point guard dribbling to the right as if he is going to use the ball-screen from 4. Instead, 4 slips the screen to the opposite block. 1 uses the ball-screen from 5 and looks for 4 posting up inside. If 4 isn't open, 1 looks to pass to 2 cutting up off of a down screen from 5. Favorite Send to FastDrawGeorgia coach Mark Fox has done a fantastic job turning around a Bulldog program that has been towards the bottom of the SEC for the better part of a decade. Now securing an at-large birth to the NCAA Tournament, Fox is finally getting some well-deserved recognition, in particular for his offense. Fox employs a lot of high post actions, raising his big men to the elbows and the three point line to open driving lanes and take away help at the rim. The multitude of dribble handoffs that Georgia runs keeps defenses honest, and the speed at which they run them makes them dangerous offensively. One of the most impressive sets I saw Fox and his team run during their second game of the year against Kentucky was a variation of the Chin offense that split into the shuffle offense. By moving the ball side-to-side several times, the defense was forced to shift and move by reacting to the player and ball movement. The shuffle offense is effective because it allows a post-up opportunity with great spacing; Fox’s set drops the trailer or the 4-man to the block for what can be a mis-match post. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis quick mis-direction action can give you several options for scoring quickly. If you have a good shooting point-guard, the early flare screen will provide him with an opportunity for a quick 3 in the possession. If the defense takes away the early 3-point attempt by your point-guard, the 3 man quickly sets a cross-screen for your 5 man, who should get a post-up opportunity on the block. The play finishes with a down-screen by the 4 man to give the 3 man an opportunity for a 3-point attempt after he cross-screens. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Atlanta Hawks run this action to get Al Horford or Paul Millsap open for a post-up situation. The Double Rip action usually frees them up to establish very deep position. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Florida Gators ran this Horns post-up play in their National Semi-Final game versus UCONN. As 4 cross/back-screened 5 (Young), the defense fought to take away the post-up from the Gators' dominant big man, this allowed 4 to seal and duck-in easier. Favorite Send to FastDrawVirginia ran this set early in their win over Memphis in the NCAA Tournament. Virignia is extremely patient, running their wings off multiple screens looking for opportunities on the wing. The play ultimately end with a post-up opportunity for Mike Tobey. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWichita State Shockers ran this simple quick hitter for a post-up in the opening minutes of their round of 32 game vs Kentucky. The timing and execution of this play was absolutely beautiful. As the ball was in flight from 1 to 2, 5 set the backscreen for 4; so as 4 was rolling to the rim 2 fired a pass for an And-1 finish. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Wichita State Shockers ran this pick & roll flare (post-up) play towards the end of the 1st half in their 3rd round NCAA tournament game vs Kentucky. By spacing your shooters 2 and 3 in the corners you create a three-man game in which there is minimal help-the helper defense to allow for 4 and 5 to work together in the hi-low. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a nice Motion set run by the Ducks. With multiple scoring options coming from the various cuts, chances for open shots or post-up situations avail themselves Dana Altman's Offense has many creative ball handlers who can also breakdown the defense 1 v 1 See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach Kerry Keating showed the diversity of the Broncos offensive sets in their game against BYU. This nice triple stagger screen action gives the PG a chance to really read what the best option is as the STS action sets up a post-up situation on either side of the floor. See More
