Basketball Play - Auburn Tigers - DHO Shuffle Swing

Auburn Tigers - DHO Shuffle Swing

Diccon Lloyd-Smeath 04/06/2019

More quality execution from the #1 ranked Half Court offense in the 2019 NCAA Final Four. Play starts with the PG entering a DHO with the shooter on the wing. As the shooter and trailer exchange pass reversals, the PG receives a shuffle screen from the post player and the opposite wing swaps sides. On the 2nd reversal, the trailer completes the reversal and hits the PG on the opposite wing, then slips the pick and pop. As the PG drives the shooters cuts the lane, then leaks out to the corner for 3! See More

Auburn uses its athleticism to spread teams out and attack double gaps off the dribble. Here they use the DHO and Swing Pass to get the point guard the basketball in space. The wing ball screen and subsequent spacing off the ball create a nice gap for the point guard to attack. See video below. #FastModelMadness See More

Basketball Play - Purdue Boilermakers - Gut Stagger

Purdue Boilermakers - Gut Stagger

Matt Wheeler 03/29/2019

Purdue was down two late in their sweet sixteen game against Tennessee when they ran this play to get their shooter, Ryan Cline, the ball for a three-point shot. The play design uses both post players to make the ball reversals because they are less likely to be denied. 3 gets the ball off of a screen and handoff from both bigs to get the open shot. See More

Basketball Play - Iowa State Cyclones (W) - 1-4 High Iverson Post Iso

Iowa State Cyclones (W) - 1-4 High Iverson Post Iso

Aseem Rastogi 03/27/2019

With 33 seconds left in the third quarter of their Round of 32 matchup with Missouri State, Iowa State's Women's team ran this 1-4 high set to get a post isolation for 6'1" forward Madison Wise, taking advantage of a matchup with a smaller defender. The key to this was Wise's ability to change pace and speed coming across the top of the key; the timing allowed her to keep the defender on her back as she established position on the mid-post. Iowa State ran this to perfection late clock and ended up sending Wise to the FT line to cut the Missouri State lead to 4 going into the fourth. See More

Basketball Play - Ohio State Buckeyes - Weave Point Wide Fan

Ohio State Buckeyes - Weave Point Wide Fan

Love this set. I am a huge fan of getting skilled bigs at the top of the key with the ball and space. The misdirection to begin softens the defense up and then there are countless possibilities you can finish this set with. I love the natural push of the drive off of the weave and Chicago action handoff into the flare on the weak side. That flare can be easily mis-guarded and result in a slip and a wide open layup for the screener. I love the built in throw-back, or "shake" action with the ball screen, roll, and corner lift as well. A lot of bang for your buck with this one. See More

Basketball Play - Ohio State Buckeyes - Weave Euro Chase

Ohio State Buckeyes - Weave Euro Chase

This set involves a great amount of false motion that can easily be used to create scoring opportunities if you look to exploit any missteps. Have your players not rush the backdoor cuts especially on the weak side opposite of the big as this is a viable scoring cut. If there are any miscues on the handoffs the ball handler can easily fake the handoff and have a wide open lane to the rim. There are lot of great counters you could run out of this such as turn the last backdoor cut into a smash cut or even cross screen for a throwback post feed. See More
