About Dave Nedbalek
Dave Nedbalek is currently a Graduate Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Oral Roberts University, joining the Golden Eagles in the Spring of 2020. Prior to joining ORU Coach Nedbalek spent six years at The University of Texas at Tyler during their transition from division III into division II, and the newly formed Lonestar Conference. During his time at UT Tyler, his duties included high school recruiting, video coordination, opponent scouts, and director of creative content/graphic design. During the 2016 season at UT Tyler Coach Nedbalek helped lead the Patriots to tie the second best season record in school history, and saw 5 players nominated for American Southwest Conference honors.
Prior to joining UT Tyler’s staff, Coach Nedbalek was the Head Boys Basketball Coach and Athletic Director at King’s Academy Christian School in Tyler, Texas. During his 5 years at King’s Academy Coach Nedbalek helped lead the Knights to four straight state tournament appearances, as well as coached 12 first-team all state, 11 second-team all state, 7 honorable mention, and the overall league Co-MVP. Coach Nedbalek compiled a record of 73-27 in four seasons as Head Coach. Coach Nedbalek was also named Coach of the Year in 2011, and 2012 and was selected to coach the Texas Christian Athletic League Eastern All-Star team in 2015.
