A DHO entry to Floppy will most likely be on the wing Guard to Guard. This means the point guard would speed dribble pitch the ball to the corner wing coming up. The wing will now become the point of initiation and the point guard will be come the activated player. This look most likely proceeds to be a back screening action by the strong side big. The popular version employed by the San Antonio Spurs involves a guard-to-guard DHO and a triple staggered baseline screen for Tony Parker who sprints the base line to find the scoring option on the weak side. Important to not the weak side wing must be the second screener I order to prevent a switch on the final screen, thus negating any type of advantage or open shot. Once the defense gets use to the triple baseline screen, Tony Parker will often times enter and exit the same side, thus showing us a DHO into a traditional Floppy Look. See More

A set that Brad Stevens runs after time outs and at the end of games is "Flip Flare." This set is designed to create action before a flare screen for a stretch 4 like Jared Sullinger or Kelly Olynyk. After setting a down screen and then opening up to the ball, the 4 man flips it back to 1, this is especially effective against teams that ICE ballscreens, as his defender will be below the flare screen. A slashing wing/guard would be ideal in the "3" spot in this diagram, with your best shooter as your "2" to force the defense to make a choice to take away the drive (and leave an open shot for 2 in the corner) or put a lot of pressure on 3's defender to keep him from getting to the rim in isolation after coming off the ball screen from 4. 1 gives the ball to 2 on a dribble hand-off as 3 moves down to the low post underneath 4. Once 2 has the ball, 1 loops around to the opposite corner as 3 cuts around a staggered down-screen from 4 and 5. If 3 isn't open, 2 looks to pass to 5 stepping out who looks inside to 4 for the hi/lo. See More

A variation of the pistol action shared a few weeks ago from the Miami Heat from a few seasons ago. In this action, LeBron James would come off a Chris Bosh ball screen and look to attack the rim. If LeBron could not get to the rim, he would look to hit Bosh popping to the corner/short corner after setting the ball screen. See More

1 gives the ball to 4 on a dribble hand-off then cuts to the corner. 4 dribbles towards 2 and gives him the balll on a dribble hand-off. 2 dribbles middle as 3 makes a back-cut to the rim. If 3 isn't open, 2 passes to 1 then makes a cut to the corner. 5 screens for 3 on the block. 1 looks to pass to 3 for a shot. See More
