Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a set to attack a zone. Using the 5 Out alignment, all five offensive players are on the outside of the zone, giving great opportunity to screen in. This is a chance to create an easy 3pt opportunity. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a set to attack a zone. This works specifically against a 2-3 zone, screening out the top defenders to create a pocket for the point guard to drive into. Once face to face with x5, 1 can either shoot the floater or throw the lob to 5. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a set to attack a zone. The concept of overloading the zone places more offensive players in an area than there are defenders. The cuter overloads the zone, shifting with the pass, and then an interior screen frees up the post player to catch the ball inside on the tight curl. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a set out of a horns alignment. The set wants the defense to help on the screen in the paint, so that they are late getting through the screen-the-screener action. Against switching defenses, 5 wants to screen their own defender to free up the shooter. Video below. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a zone set to provide movement and a middle flash. If executed with good timing, this set should privde either an open wing three-pointer or a baseline cutter. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a zone set to overload the defense. The object is to have four offensive players in the area of three defensive players, and force the defense to "guard air." Video below. Favorite Send to FastDrawWatch the video below as Coach Tony Miller uses FastDraw, the #1 play diagramming program for basketball coaches, to break down this BLOB design from the Cleveland Cavaliers and coach J.B. Bickerstaff. This STS action seems like it would be for 2, but is actually for 4. Yet if the defense drifts to 4, 2 will be wide open for a layup. Send to FastDraw using the button above. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a zone offense set play for a back side lob. I always wanted to have a set or two like this installed for when teams flipped to zone on us on the fly. I love getting a quick, easy two when we see zone. This play has the added potential of really providing some energy for your team if you have a high flyer that can dunk the ball. Please make sure you have a good passer throwing the lob. Video below. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a zone offense set play. I like how the play stretches the defense side to side, and overloads the defense. This is a low risk set that can produce a three-point shot. Video below. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play series out of a horns alignment. The dribble push enters the set. The first two options are slipping the gate screen, and turning the corner on the dribble push for a clear out. The next option is using the gate screen, which goes into a pin or flare option, similar to a blocker/mover action. Video below. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of a horns alignment. The dribble push enters the set and the ball is swung to the top of the key after the gate screen. The two gate screeners screen away, opening up a gap for the driver to attack. Video below. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a drill to sharpen your players' fundamentals. The embedded video below walks through the drill, which may be easier to pick up than from just the diagram alone. I love the emphasis on passing, cutting, catching and pivoting within this drill. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe blocker-mover offense has always been interesting to me, and I learned a lot about the offense in crunching the film. Between the diagrams and embedded video, the different options are covered. I really like this offense as a way to feature your post players. Video below.
