Favorite Send to FastDrawWrinkle out of the Celtics' ATO "Zipper Iverson Keep" action. 5 fakes ball-screen for 1 then turns around to set a comeback screen for 2. 1 also has the baseline pass to 4 for Hammer action. See More

Favorite Send to FastDraw"1-up Pop" is a set that has been featured in our "Plays YOU Can Use" series for ball screen sets, and also for lob sets. It is a typical high ball screen, which features a STS back screen, to get a dunk, or a high low look. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOne of the most brilliant after timeout plays Kerr has run in his time with the Warriors is this back screen set they run for Draymond Green. By using Curry as a screener twice, the Warriors are able to punish teams that pay too much attention to Steph and not enough to their other scorers. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA floppy action is common in the NBA and at many other levels. It's a great action for shooters who are given time to read screens and be a threat off simple down screens. Since the Warriors have so many shooters, their use of the Floppy action is particularly dangerous when Curry, Thompson and Durant are all swirling around each other -- and more dangerous in those instances where Curry or Thompson are screeners. Favorite Send to FastDrawGolden State is a great defensive team, so they get to attack on offense multiple times per game before a defense gets set. When Curry has true post players surrounding him, the Warriors will often run into Double Drag, a double-high ball screen action that strikes before a defense can properly get into position. Because of the spacing of shooters in the corners and the attention Steph receives in ball screens, the rim is often left unguarded. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBecause Steve Kerr has the luxury of utilizing some of the best shooters in the world, he runs great actions like this one designed specifically for them. In UCLA Rip, he places two shooters on the same side and runs them in a three-man pattern with Draymond Green at the 4. The screening and attention paid to their shooters helps the backdoor pass from Green be effective -- which is why the two players not involved in the action must be lifted on the opposite side of the floor. Favorite Send to FastDrawA great action from Golden State into a ball screen that always ends up in fantastic spacing for a spread ball screen -- a middle pick-and-roll with shooters surrounding. Dribble handoffs can create switches in their favor or an earlier opportunity to attack. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boston Celtics ran this play with the score tied and 36.3 seconds left in game 3 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Celtics wanted to get a quick score within 5 or 6 seconds so they would end up with the last possession of the game. As 2 gets the inbounds pass, 3 & 4 cut to the corners for spacing. 1 sets a brush screen for 2, allowing 2 to drive hard right looking for a layup or a kickout to a shooter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boston Celtics used some misdirection action to get the ball into the post in this ATO late in game 3 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. After the ball is inbounded to 3, 5 & 4 set a decoy staggered screen for 1. 5 slips the first screen to get the ball isolated in the post, where he can attack 1 on 1. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boston Celtics used this play to get Avery Bradley (2) open for the winning shot in game 3 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With the score tied and 10.7 seconds left, the Celtics had the option of going for a 2 or a 3. The play started with 3 curling around the first screen of the stagger and cutting to the basket. If defended correctly, 3 will still have a 1 on 1 opportunity in the post and 2 can come off the pindown screen. The Cavs sent two defenders after 3 though, which got 2 the open shot off the down screen from 5. See More

Favorite Send to FastDraw"The Hill" is named after Greenhill School in Addison, Texas. At the 2017 TABC (Texas Association of Basketball Coaches) Clinic, there was a "Pass the Chalk" Event. This SLOB was drawn by Greenhill School boys varsity basketball coach, Joey Sims. I have added a double stagger to the end of the set, so that there is a secondary action, if the lob is not available. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Flood" is a secondary break action, which ends with 3 options. The best option is a lob to the trailer, after the backscreen from the 1. The second option is the 1, on the out cut, for a shot. The third option is the 1 passing high/low to the 4. See More
