Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. This play is best ran for a point guard who can shoot it, or for the purpose of the play have a player that can shoot it start the play. The key to this play is your point guard setting two great screens to force his defender to help which will get him open on the down screen. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis baseline out of bounds set is a set that we like to run because it provides multiple opportunities to score. The screen-the-screener action is good early movement to score out of, followed by a misdirection post up opportunity for your 5. Good screening and timing will enable this play to be effective. Favorite Send to FastDrawDavid Blatt has been adding new sets almost every single game throughout this season. To start the playoffs he added this new set "Zipper Cross" to try and get Kevin Love a post up in Game 1. Throughout Games 1 & 2 he then ran this set with different counters and options out of it, the main one being a high Pick & Roll for Kyrie Irving to attack out of. The set starts off with a Zipper cut (typically by Kyrie Irving) and then the bigs cross, looking to get Kevin Love to seal out of it. If the post is not open or if Blatt wants Kyrie to attack out of the Pick & Roll, the 5 man continues high and Love exits to the corner to space the floor. They have also ran this for Lebron to post & then counter that with him flashing to the Elbow for an isolation. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawIowa State ran this quick hitter in their NCAA Tournament win against North Carolina. Iowa State starts out in an elbow set, the point guard DeAndre Kane passes to the 4 (Melvin Ejim) on the elbow. After making the pass, Kane goes with the 5 to set a double screen for the 2 (Matt Thomas) in the corner. Thomas goes into handoff with Ejim at the elbow and looks to shoot 3pt shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play starts with a hand off from 1 to 2. 1 cuts through to left corner and 2 uses quick on ball screen from 4. First look is to 1 coming off 5's baseline screen and two is a back screen lob for 4. Give it a try! See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawWith 3.9 seconds left in Game 1 of the 2013 NBA Playoffs, the San Antonio Spurs ran this play at the end of the 2nd overtime to defeat the Golden State Warriors. X1 was able to trail the screens and stay attached to Parker. Unfortunately X5 was unaware and doubled Parker. Forcing X2 to drop and protect the rim, leaving the skip to Ginobili wide open for a 3-pointer. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawToday's post from Men's Basketball Hoop Scoop is a Baseline screen action that got the University of Kentucky into their Dribble Drive Offense. Even if you don't run dribble drive motion offense, it's a great set play to get space going to the basket. I think that you will like it. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith this set you need a point guard that can shoot it coming off of a flare screen. Throw the high post entry pass to your best post passer. Make sure your wing on the same side as the flare screen starts to cut to the opposite corner as soon as the high post entry pass is made to allow the side ball screen isolation. This play is from the 2012-2013 Wisconsin Green Bay season. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawMaryland ran today's FastDraw Play of the Day in their big win over Duke yesterday. This baseline box set can be run to get a quick shot against a zone packed low in the lane. The video below shows Marlyand using the play to get a 3 in a crucial situation: See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn the Triangle Offense it is very important to speed cut when the low post gets the ball. When the post has the ball they can go to work or you can get a cross screen for 4 a curl to the hoop. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMotion Hold is a great play to run in a late game situation in which you are holding for a last shot or waiting for the defensive to commit a foul. This play incorporates multiple screening options to get either wing open. In most cases you want to keep the ball in your guard(s) hands for better ball-handling and free throw shooting. However, if you get into an urgent situation your bigs are allowed to flash as a release if needed. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Wichita State Shockers ran this pick & roll flare (post-up) play towards the end of the 1st half in their 3rd round NCAA tournament game vs Kentucky. By spacing your shooters 2 and 3 in the corners you create a three-man game in which there is minimal help-the helper defense to allow for 4 and 5 to work together in the hi-low. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great play to run against man to man and zone. 1 dribbles to the wing and 2 replaces 1's spot. On the 1-2 ball reversal, 4 flashes into the paint to draw his defender. At the same time, 5 crosses lane and sets back screen for 3 for lob play. See More
