About This Play/Drill

Chris Mack from Xavier does a great job teaching the Pack Line Defense

Here are some breakdown drills he does in order to effectively teach the defense to his teams

Drills/Defensive

Meet the Flash and play post defense

On the catch, Pop Back and get hands in front of shoulders

On Bounce, get wide

On Shot, walk through the shooter

BLOCK OUT
Drills/Defensive

Out Screen

Defende 3 screens in a row

Defend the cutter by getting attached - THINK CHASE!!
Guarding the screener, you are a helper

Fake a swipe at the ball on the catch

Flare Screen
Drills/Defensive

Pin Down Screen
Drills/Defensive

Coach throws the ball to Player 1

Defense takes away his pivot foot - NEVER GIVE SPACE!!

Arms Up and Spread Out - Velcro=Defender's chest to the offensive player's shoulder

Coach throws to Player 2 - Repeat for count of 3

Coach throws back to Player 1 and defender takes a charge
