Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall spoke on Friday at the Men's Final 4 NABC Convention. While he spent some time discussing his philosophy and reasons for success, he talked mostly about his Quick series and how they instructed play calls. Every dead ball or timeout, he could give his players a "1st Play" and "2nd Play" to run in the upcoming segments. Connecticut ran this high ball screen in the National Semifinal against Florida. Amida Brimah does a nice job setting a great screen, rolling to the basket and then posting on the block. Kentucky ran this set in their matchup with Connecticut in the National Championship. This was the first play of the 2nd half and cut the UCONN lead to one. The play is made by Julius Randle who drives hard from the perimeter to draw the defense and make a pass for 3pt shot. Aaron Harrison does a great job circling from the corner to the wing for a 3pt shot. See More
