Favorite Send to FastDrawPlay run by Michigan State in their OT thriller vs. Ohio State. This can also be run as a SOB. The more I look at screening and cutting offensively, the more I realize the importance of setting up screens and cuts, and reading screens and cuts. Defensively, sound principles of fighting through screens, stunting to the ball on pindowns, maintaining vision of ball and man and foot faking and recovering in disadvantage situations can not be overemphasized. Favorite Send to FastDrawLate game FT miss situation. Can easily use this alignment to get a 3pt FGA if needed, by using #1 to get behind the offensive rebounder for a kick out. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a play that starts out with "Utah" action leading into Floppy action similar to what the San Antonio Spurs run. For more, check out my website www.coachpeelbasketball.com, sign up for a membership, and get your first 30 days free. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMark Gottfried frequented this half-court offense set while the head coach at the University of Alabama. The main reason this play was so successful was because Gottfried had a 5 man in 6'9" 255 lb Richard Hendrix. Hendrix was a force inside and almost impossible to move off the block. Once you got sealed, it was an automatic two points. If X3 tried chasing this screen, 3 occasionally would be open for a lay-up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play creates an open three for a good shooting post player. The screen-the-screener action occupies 4's defender, allowing 2 to set a good screen on him to free 4. 4 must be ready to catch and shoot quickly. Secondary action is a quick 2-5 cross screen for a post feed. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHorns play ran by SLU vs. URI. After 1 uses the screen of 4 and 5 and hand's off to 2, 5 can screen 4 into the side ball screen or 2 can use both screens and then 5 can flare 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe backscreen action for the point guard is a great way to iso their point defender in the low post. If your point guard has the quickness advantage over your opponents point guard, you should be able to get a touch in the low post off of this set. If the backscreeners defender gives help, then you have an easy pick and pop scenario for a 3pt look at the top of the key area. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawUp 11 with 1:20 left there were 8 seconds left on the shot clock. The Spurs ran this middle ball screen in their game vs. Memphis. The pin down on the strong side keeps the defense occupied. A hard hedge in the middle of the floor opens up the corner 3 because x3 has to pull in to help on 5's roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBox set with 1 dribbling to left wing. 3 and 2 down screen for 4 as 5 posts up. Ball is reversed to 4 and he pass fakes to the right wing and returns the ball to 1 on the left wing. On the catch 5 sets on ball screen for 1 for ball penetration to the paint. On weak side 3 uses down screens by 2 and 4 to separate for shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLast night the Chicago Bull ran this quick hitter post action to start the 4th quarter versus the Washington Wizards. Noah did a great job selling this play dribbling at the pin-down before quickly turning to feed Gibson ducking in. Noah's quick dribble right put X4 a step off Gibson to allow the easy post. See More
