With the flex screen, the play has a quick hitting action to it off the inbounds pass and the pin down screen-the-screener action gives the shooter a chance to get off an open shot if the defense miscommunicates on the flex cut Here, the PG does a good job reading the defender and gets into the lane off the dribble. MSU BLOB Double
11/18/2013This BLOB was run by MSU to get their PG Trice a shot off the inbounds action. What made this possible was the miscommunication between the two defenders guarding Harris & Trice. They got caught in a switch and Trice's defender got pinned behind the screen giving the inbounder a clear pass off the double screen to the shooter. See More

MSU 1-4 High Lob
11/16/2013The Michigan State Spartans played the Kentucky Wildcats on Tueday night in the Champions Classic at the United Center in Chicago. This was an early season match-up of numbers 1 & 2 in the polls. Kentucky came in with a vaunted recruiting class and the two coach's are surely one day too be in the Hall of Fame. This play was run by Tom Izzo's Spartans when they needed a basket. It is a well designed play out of the 1-4 High Set. What makes this play so effective is the weak side cutting action eliminating any helpside defender. The key to this play is the screen from the 5 man on the PG's defender. Here the 5 man sets a perfect screen on x1 setting up the pass from 4 for 1 who puts in the lay-up. See More

Horns Lob Set Lokomotiv Urban Krasnodar
11/13/2013This is a play from the Lokomotiv Urban Krasnodar vs Panathinaikos Athens in the Euroleague on Friday night. It is a great Horns set vs M2M utilizing a middle screen at the end for a lob pass or backdoor lay-up opportunity. This set does a good job of taking away weak side help by clearing the wing setting up the middle screen and pass option at the basket Panathinaikos has won the Euroleague 6x's and is one of the most storied clubs in Europe. Brose Baskets Bamberg Late Game SLOB
11/04/2013This is the winning shot hit last night by Casey Jacobsen for the Brosebaskets Bamberg of Germany in their Euroleague match-up against Anadolu Efes Istanbul from Turkey. With the victory, Bamberg improves to 2-1 in their group. Jacobsen left the Stanford Cardinals in 2002 and played 3 years with the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. He had a short stint with the New Orleans Hornets before going overseas to play with Baskonia Vittoria.of Spain. From there he went to play with Bamberg leading them to the 2007 German Bundesliga Title. He spent one season with Bamberg before returning stateside to play with the Memphis Grizzlies before returning overseas to Germany to play with storied club Alba Berlin. Since 2009, Jacobsen has been back with the Brosebaskets Bamberg leading them to 4 Titles. Head Coach Chris Fleming is a graduate of the University of Richmond and has success at every stop he's been at in Germany as a Head Coach.
