10/26/2016The Golden State Warriors ran this during the second quarter of their season opening game against the San Antonio Spurs. They used a variation of the wedge play where a guard sets a high screen for a post player who then cuts into a ball screen or post up. In this version the Warriors used false action of the ball reversal and dribble handoff before getting into the wedge ball screen action. They also added a flare screen up top for a secondary option in this play. See More

New York Knicks - Stagger Pop
10/26/2016The New York Knicks ran this early offense play in the second quarter of their season opening game against the Cleveland Cavs. They used it after a timeout to get Krystaps Porzingis open for a 3 point shot. 1 reverses the ball through 4(Porzingis) to the 2. 3 (Carmelo Anthony) curls around the staggered screen and sets a screen for 4 who pops out for the shot. This play is very effective when the 3 is an effective scorer who will draw a lot of attention. The 3 leverages that attention to set a screen and free up 4 for a shot. See More

Cleveland Cavs - DHO Iverson Screenback
10/26/2016The Cleveland Cavs ran this play in the second quarter of their season opening game against the New York Knicks. They used it after a timeout to get a wide open 3 pointer for JR Smith (3). 4 (Lebron James) initiates the offense with a dribble handoff with 3 and uses an Iverson cut to get the ball back on the wing. 4 immediately drives baseline then turns back to pass to 3 for the 3 point shot. Phoenix Suns Motion
10/13/2016The play below is an example of a set that the Suns are running to get their third year center Alex Len an easy jump shot. Bledsoe brought the ball up the court and passed to TJ Warren and made a thru cut to the opposite wing. As Bledsoe cut thru the lane, Booker crossed paths with him on his way to set a screen for Len on the block, the ball is swung from Warren to Chriss and then to Bledsoe. As soon as Chriss made the pass he ran down to set a pin down screen to get Len open at the free throw line. The play was executed flawlessly and Len nailed the jumper. See More
