Basketball Play - Golden State Warriors - 34 Cross Flare Fire

Golden State Warriors - 34 Cross Flare Fire

John Zall 06/08/2016

The Golden State Warriors ran a stagger baseline screen for 2 to the right wing. The ball was reverses in the secondary break from the point guard to the trailing big over to the 2 guard on the right wing. The second screener in the original stagger screen then turned and set a cross screen for 4 to the post. 2 enterered the ball in the post to 4 on the right block. As soon as he entered the ball he got a "flare" screen from 5 for the top. Once the defender guarded that action the 5 immediately turned and set a "fire" screen, which is a re screen back towards the ball, for 2. 2 caught the pass out of the post from 4 for a jump shot. Basketball Play - Serbia - Secondary Post Up

Serbia - Secondary Post Up

Wes Kosel 06/06/2016

Serbia likes to run the point guard up the sidelines and to get a quick post they used this spacing pattern with the point guard and center on one side of the floor and 4, 3, and 2 all on the right side of the floor (and spaced on the 3-point line). The spacing makes it hard for the defenders to help in the post and if all of your players are capable 3-point shooters this can be an easy way to get a 1 on 1 look in the post. See More

Basketball Play - Oklahoma Post Iso

Oklahoma Post Iso

Kevin Bruinsma 05/16/2016

Oklahoma on offense ran a lot of dribble weave to force the defense to communicate and make decisions weather to switch hand offs, go under, open up and slide thru, or go over the top. This was one of the few actions they ran against Villanova to get the ball on the block. In this play I would recommend using your best player like Oklahoma used #24 Heild. The action is a simple rub screen to allow the post player to seal his man deeper then he normally would be able too. By using your best player to set the rub screen it forces his man to stay attached to him which creates essentially a double screen, plus the 5 man defending the post may show or offer some help in defending the best player. Basketball Play - 3 ON 3 SERIES

3 ON 3 SERIES

Marc Skelton 05/10/2016

A great drill that simultaneously improves your team and individual players offensively and defensively is a series of 3 on 3 drills. Offensively, we work on dribble hand-offs, cuts, shooting, passing, catching, screens, and timing. Defensively, we work on communication and the different ways to defend screens. I also like this drill because it helps to reduce turnovers. See More
