Almost all of the action is false with the intent to get the 5 man to seal his defender to the outside so that a lob can be thrown over the top to the side of the floor where there is no help. The Boise State Bronocs have beomce a well known team since Leon Rice arrived from Gonzaga. Since his arrival, the Broncos have established a dominant home court advantage, played near the top of the Mountain West Conference, and had their first at large selction to the NCAA Tournament. This is a nice post entry set run off a shallow dribble entry guard-to-guard out top. The FT line screen at the end can lead to a 3 pt shot or if the defense jumps the screen a slip action for the screener or a kick-out to either the corner or wing for an open shot. See More

While playing around on the FastDraw iPad app this morning I actually ended up drawing a post-up play that I really like. This play is most effective with proper timing. 5 should be coming off the backscreen from 4 and 1 as 3 is receiving the pass. If X1 or X4 double down to help on the catch, look to quickly kick the ball out for a shot. See More

Last night in their win over the Kansas Jayhawks, the Florida Gators ran this half-court set which involved multiple screening actions leading to a middle pick & roll. As 1 came off the pick & roll he was able to find 3 spotting up in the corner. Due to the defensive rotations, this allowed 5 to post-up on the block. See More
