Favorite Send to FastDrawStephen F. Austin Head Coach Danny Kaspar is known as one of the best defensive teachers in the country, but this opening set run against Sam Houston State takes advantage of good spacing, excellent player movement, and has multiple options to get off a good shot SFA is 25-3 this season and 15-2 in Conference, an exciting team to watch who already has a win over Oklahoma to its credit See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawLast night in the Big East Tournament the Villanova Wildcats ran this turn-down pick & roll action in their win over St Johns. Jay Wright does a great job clearing out most of the baseline help in this set but convincing the defense a side pick & roll is about to occur. The 2 (guard) also does a phenomenal job setting up the bal with a ball/step fake middle and getting his defender moving over the screen that never happened. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA natural triple to get your best shooter a shot. Timing is really important as you want the 4 man slipping the ballscreen to go right into capping off the triple so that his man cannot help. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawVCU has an offense which can flow from set-to-set and they do a very good job moving their personnel to get the optimum spacing and opportunities from option in their systems See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawI have been waiting for two years to get a chance to check out Larry Shyatt's Wyoming Cowboys squad. Last night it took some searching on my cable box but I finally found their game versus the Lobos of New Mexico. The Cowboys fought hard all game to attempt an upset but the Lobos were just too much. New Mexico ran this nice half-court action very well to get an easy bucket down low with a throwback to 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith this play your 4 & 5 have to be a passing big. The 4 has to be able to read the defense as 2 comes off for the hand off, and your 5 has to be able to read the defense as the 2 comes off of the pin down screen. Practice with your players that will be coming off of the pin down action on reading the defense. This play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBrad Stevens has a multitude of sets which the Bulldogs execute to perfection due to good discipline, solid fundamentals, and an understanding of timing and screening angles. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA great way to run some time off the clock and limit possesions is to run "false motion" boise state runs some of the best that I have seen. They were able to almost beat UNLV at UNLV while running this down the stretch into 1 of their sets. The most important teaching points for this is to cut to score, short easy passes, and stay high and wide. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNice little comeback action for BLOB versus man or zone. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis sideline out of bounds quick hitter was run by Marquette to win a game at the buzzer vs St. John's. The design of the play is simple, but watch how it sets up 3 offensive rebounders with lanes to the glass for a putback. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFor this play to work, your 2 has to be able to handle the ball off of a ball screen, and your 4 has to be a passing skilled big that can pick and pop. After 2 dribbles off of the ball screen and passes to 4 he has to be patient to let his defender fall asleep. Once his defender turns his head, the 2 cuts hard backdoor for a lay up. This play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this special, staggered screens free cutters along the baseline. 4 cuts baseline first as a decoy. He catches on left wing from 1. 2 and 5 continue their staggered screen action for 3. 3 can cut, catch and score or cut and post on the left block. Final option is for 5 to use 2's screen to curl for quick shot in the paint. Give it a try! See More
