Favorite Send to FastDrawSLOB play from Coach Obradovic against Olimpia Milano in Fenerbahce's Round 2 game of the 2018 EuroLeague season. 4 sets down screen for 2 then receives a flex screen from 1 (screen-the-screener). 4 comes off the screen looking for a lob. As 3 throws the ball over the top, 5 sets a comeback screen for 2. 2 comes off the screen looking for a shot and touch pass from 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSLOB "Spain" pick-and-roll action from CSKA Moscow. The movement on the handoff from 3/2 and 4 clearing to the corner after the down screen forces the defense to shift. This flows into a "Spain" pick-and-roll action where the defense is out of position to defend the action from all the movement. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a wrinkle out of the Houston Rockets' "Point Double" action: https://www.fastmodelsports.com/library/basketball/fastdraw/161872/play-Houston-Rockets--Quick-Double When x2 top lock 2 from cutting off the stagger screen by 4 & 5, 2 curls the first screen and screens for 4. Then 4 comes off the down screen from 5 and receives a pass from 1. 1 follows his pass and receives a handoff back from 4. 1 brushes off 4 and uses a ball screen from 5. As 1 comes off the ball screen, 5 rolls to the basket and 4 stays high. 2 & 3 stay in the corner for kickout. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawPlay is initiated with a dummy ball screen by the 1 and 5. As the ball screen takes place the 2 player immediately down screens for the 4 player. 1 comes off the ball screen and pitches ahead to the 4. After setting the ball screen, 5 sprints to set a fake down screen for 3 and will receive a "rip" screen from the 2 for a lay-up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCreative ball screen set ran by the Boston Celtics this season. Boston used this action to flow into an elbow ball screen for a guard who had a stretch 4 replacing behind the ball screen. Having the center come off a zipper down screen is a creative design on an already tough action to guard. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSLOB set ran by the U20 Serbian team in the Eurobasket Championships in 2015. Timing of the down screen set by 4 should be practiced for timing purposes. 4 should set down screen for 2 once 1 starts the cut up to 5 to receive the stationary DHO in the slot. The false action in this set creates a solid opportunity out of the spread pick and roll. The ball coverage of the ball screen (x2) will be weak and late due to the down screen set by 4 and also with the DHO by 1. As a result, this will put extra pressure on the defending big involved on the ball screen (x5) and should create an advantage out of the spread pick and roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBrad Stevens uses Isaiah Thomas as a screener frequently because of the extra attention the Celtics' top scorer receives. A common screen-the-screener action is the Flex set up, where Thomas would come off a down screen after setting the Flex. Instead, he sets a back screen here after the flex, with the rim unguarded on the flex overload for an easy alley oop opportunity. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawVariation of the Spurs iconic "motion weak" demonstrated by the USA Women's National Team in their quarterfinal win over Japan in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Instead of the signature cross screen/down screen sequence, the screen sets a back screen after the cross screen. Set a good screen, cause help, then separate from th screen for a three-point opportunity. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawTexas A&M used this play to get an open look for a shot on a weak side fill. The initial pin down gets them into a horns set and then the guard curls around the down screen to the opposite wing for a shot. They didn't get a shot and ended up turning it over, but a good action nonetheless. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this horns set, the first ball screener rolls and the second follows. Then both screeners move into a staggered down screen for the guard in the corner and again for Buddy Hield running the baseline. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, they get the ball back to the inbounder and run 2 off of a back screen/down screen combo for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAs a continuation to their other horns sets, this option looks for a pin down screen away from the ball. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is similar to the pin down play, but the cutter cuts back off of a staggered screen to the corner. The first screener then uses a down screen at the elbow for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is a counter to the Pinch Post Pin play and instead of the down screen by the post the guard sets a back screen at the elbow for a lob play at the rim. See More
