Favorite Send to FastDrawThese are drills I use to expose younger players to Horns and the actions that can be run out of the set. I think showing kids the NBA actions and sets in practice will change the way they watch NBA games and increase on court IQ. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Fighting Irish of Notre Dame under Head Coach Mike Brey have been the surprise team of the year in the ACC. Brey's style is hard to copy as the Irish use multiple cuts and screening actions in their offense to score. In the game Wednesday night against Duke, this is the Opening Play they ran which really shows clearly how their movement opens up good spacing and the screening actions are so well timed to really force the defense into quick decision making. This was one of the most exciting games of the year and the Irish are moving towards a top seed in the NCAA Tournament come March. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawStanford runs this variation of the Triangle Offense. They use the "pinch post" to flare screen for the guard. He then executes a dribble handoff which can turn into a backdoor on the overplay or two-man action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWhile going thru the game I was really impressed by Michigan’s first offensive play call out of half time, it involved great spacing, driving lanes, and the ball switching sides of the floor. The action forced Detroit to put multiple guys in rotations to protect the rim, guard a handoff, defend the drive, and recover to shooters. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Michigan State Spartans recently ran this inbounds vs. Maryland. Put your preferred scorer at the ballside elbow. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Memphis Grizzlies use this play during the 2014/2015 NBA season to create a post up for their big man. The back screen into pin down decoy makes the subsequent screen the screener action work. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Oklahoma Sooners have one of the best transition attacks in college basketball. They often attack out of their primary break with either drives or threes. In their secondary action Oklahoma at times uses a pass to the trailing post as one of their options. That triggers this handoff into a baseline stagger. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a set that gets a flare screen for a post player. A nice play to run in transition or at the end of the games if you need a quick score. The play starts with a dribble handoff and ballscreen. The play ends with a flare for your shooter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA nice set for your point guard. Flare screens are tough to defend, and can be very effective if practiced. See More

Favorite Send to FastDraw5 pops to catch pass from 1 1 passes to 5 and slowly cuts inside 2 begins to sprint out of corner 5 initiates a dribble handoff with 2 1 turns to prepare for screen 4 steps up to set ball screen 2 receives handoff and blasts off of ball screen set by 4 3 cuts up to wing to receive pass from 2 After 5 hands off to 2, 1 sets a diagonal screen sending 5 to the rim See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOption #3 of the basic triangle is the entry to the free throw line. The first look is in the post, then reversal for the pinch post option. If both of those are overplayed then look at the cutter from the backside to the foul line. The "blind pig" backdoor play is set up if the defense is overplayed See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe lag pass or floor reversal option is a staple in the triangle offense. If the first post up option is not open, reverse and look for the pinch post. Coaches can get creative on the actions they want to run. Dribble handoffs, isolations, and pick and rolls all can be incorported. Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Carmelo Anthony all have had success in the pinch post See More
