Favorite Send to FastDrawThe New York Knicks ran this early offense play in the second quarter of their season opening game against the Cleveland Cavs. They used it after a timeout to get Krystaps Porzingis open for a 3 point shot. 1 reverses the ball through 4(Porzingis) to the 2. 3 (Carmelo Anthony) curls around the staggered screen and sets a screen for 4 who pops out for the shot. This play is very effective when the 3 is an effective scorer who will draw a lot of attention. The 3 leverages that attention to set a screen and free up 4 for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Houston Rockets ran this early in the second quarter of their preseason game against the New York Knicks. 5 screens away for 4 who receives the pass from 1. 1 receives the handoff from 4 then turns the corner on the screen from 5. 1 looks to create for himself or find the open man for a shot. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Houston Rockets ran this play early in the first quarter of their preseason game against the New York Knicks. This play utlilizes James Harden's (1) ability to draw attention and make reads off of the ball screen. 5 screens away for 4 to make it difficult to for x4 & x5 to help on the ball screens. As 1 turns the corner 3 sets a back screen for 5 going to the rim. 1 looks to make the pass to 5 for the lob. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe premise of this drill is to mimic quick action in early offense. This will improve your screening, how your guys/girls catch and shoot and read the defense. On the flip side your defense will be able to not let cutters cut without being bumped and improve communication. We play a game to seven. There are three options to this drill outlined below. Drill #1 is a UCLA cut. Drill #2 works on the Ghost Screen and drill #3 has a backdoor option. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe baseline drift action is phenomenal and one of the hardest actions to guard. Train multiple game-speed actions such as pass/cut, post shift, dribble drive, one-hand passing, etc. Great drill to compete with, as well! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA great drill that simultaneously improves your team and individual players offensively and defensively is a series of 3 on 3 drills. Offensively, we work on dribble hand-offs, cuts, shooting, passing, catching, screens, and timing. Defensively, we work on communication and the different ways to defend screens. I also like this drill because it helps to reduce turnovers. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is another box set that UNC likes to run. This set has numerous options out of it and can be very difficult to defend against. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a simple, but very effective box set that UNC will run. This set can be run to either the Right or the Left. The point guard will simply pick a side to go off and the play can be run to either side. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith just under 2:00 left in the first half of the 2nd Round of the NCAA Tournament, Wichita State ran this screen the screener action against the Miami Hurricanes. However, the Hurricanes did a nice job of getting through screens and defending this action, not allowing either of the two primary options designed for this particular set. The Shockers were forced to take a contested 3-point shot later in the shot clock after things broke down offensively. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawUNC Classic Secondary Action Coming down off the break using ball reversal to move the defense, the back screen is set looking for a quick lob action On ball reversal to the TOK, the big-big screen takes place and Carolina's big men are adept at using their bodies to duck-in and get position for the pass from the TOK See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAlthough Jakob Poeltl has been a heavy focus of the Utes offense in the 2nd half of the season, Utah has balanced scoring with players like Bonam, Kuzma, and Loveridge, not to mention Taylor. Here is a double stagger action run out of the Fast Break looking to get a good look at the basket from the TOK. Option to hit the post man is also there and the shooter can look to curl if the defense trails the screen. Larry Krystowiak does a good job changing his sets and moving his players to where they can be most effective on the floor. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach Jim Larranaga wants to play up-tempo and score in transition. This year they have concentrated more on getting the ball inside the paint more. Even though it has a modern day (4 Out) look it still has an old fashion (inside-out) approach to basketball. To execute this plan they use a variety of ball screen type action and roll/replace concepts. Having a very good point guard that can drive and shoot makes this tough to defend. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a quick hitter that Buffalo used early in the first half against Miami that lead to the getting a wide open three. They did a great job out of the 1-4 set at creating space for quick penetration or the kick for three. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawPart of North Carolina's secondary break, the drag or ballscreen in early offense, can free up open shots for guards. North Carolina runs it with a backscreen lob for the big after it and then into a post up if the lob is covered. See More
