Favorite Send to FastDrawIt's never too early. I know I am itching to get back into the gym and start working with my guys. Thanks to my autorenewal of League Pass, I've been able to catch some glimpses of a few NBA teams working young guys in and trying to get timing down. This is a play for a stretch big, that came after a timeout in the 2nd half of the Charlotte-Miami preseason game on Sunday. Another resource that coaches can use in the drudgery of waiting for practice to start is NBAtv. All week last week, NBAtv's crew were running their series Inside Training Camp and it was awesome. The interaction between players is fun to watch and there is no doubt that you can take a drill from each practice. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNeed a quick bucket? This is your play right here. Put your best shooter in 1's spot. Then the defense has to pick between are we potentially going to give up a layup or help on 4 and give up an open 3PT to your best shooter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA quick hitting action that you can run off the break or as a set play when you need a 3PT. 2 sprints towards 5 as if he is going to set a backscreen (which causes X2 to think he has to help on the screen), but then sprints off of 4's fade screen. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawIn any denial situation, Delay can simply become common Pistol action, including all the wealth of options available in the Pistol Set. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIf the reversal to 5 is denied, this set can also start with same side action, such as the corner stack. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Rip option also creates a good screen the screener opportunity. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith a dynamic player such LeBron James who can bring the ball up or also play in the post, interchanging and moving pieces around on the perimeter can create new counter options and scoring opportunities. Here a Rip screen is used to create a lob or post up opportunity for LeBron. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is Basic "Swing" action in the NBA, but out of a Delay alignment. Again, this action does not require a call, and again it quickly places the defense into a Spread P/R scenario. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another option in Miami's "5" set, a variation of Mike D'Antoni's Delay offense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawJust like a regular NBA drag screen, this early offense action can occur just as a read and doesn't require a call. When running this action out of a Delay alignment, it immediately becomes a Spread P/R, making it a difficult cover in transition with shooters on the perimeter and no defenders in the paint to bump the roll man. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another option is Miami's "5" set, a variation of Mike D'Antoni's Delay. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMiami's "5" set, a variation of Mike D'Antoni's Delay offense in New York, begins with this basic split action, with multiple options for the offense based on how the defense reacts. The Heat used this set to great success during their 2012-13 championship season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a set to use against a man-to-man defense that utilizes the hammer action on the backside to set up an open shot for your shooter. See More
