It should be emphasized how open 1 will get off of 5's back screen, if 1 cuts hard and 5 looks for him - if players do a poor job setting up this action, it will make it that much harder to effectively get open off the elevator screen (defender will top-lock elevator cut). CSU 5 Man Iso & USF Side Elevator (2 plays)
02/03/2015Tied at 59-59 with under two minutes to go in a Non-Conference game between Cleveland State/San Francsico. The first diagram & Video is the CSU 5 Man Iso. #15 Anton Grady is their cornerstone player and in a big situation they love to clear out the side and let him either score or distribute. In this clip he kicks it out to the corner for a huge 3. San Francsico then took the ball out and pushed it up the floor right into a side elevator screen for #32 Derksen who is their best scoring wing. Their action was so successful because of how smoothly they got into it and executed after giving up a big 3. See More

01/22/2015Trailing by 2 with 20 seconds left and facing a UIC 2-3 zone defense Depaul went to a horns action against the zone. They made it difficult for UIC’s zone to determine when to bump and when to stay defending the ball and it ultimately led to an open game winning 3.
