Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was a smartly executed play that the Warriors used against the Grizzlies in Game 2. Knowing that the x3 would show against any Pistol Step Up screen, Stephen Curry quickly spun back out of the P/R and reversed the ball to David Lee. Harrison Barnes immediately slipped out of the screen and to the basket for an easy lay-up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw5 cuts first to the ball-side corner. 2 cuts to the opposite block. Lastly, 3 cuts to the space that 5 vacated. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGonzaga runs this set for a HI PNR for their shooting guard. I like this set and it works because it keeps the defense moving, and has a stretch 4 spread the floor after freezing his man. Kevin Pangos being an elite 3 point threat is on the wing to prevent any weakside help, and having 3 shooters spacing the floor allows the PNR to be effective. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, the Clippers look to get a shot at the elbow with a wide pin-down in the corner for 2. If 2 doesn't have a shot, he continues his cut to set a guard on big ball-screen at the left elbow. 5 looks to drive to the basket off of the ball-screen as 2 rolls or pops. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, the point guard dribbles down the right side of the floor as 2 cuts in to set a cross-screen for 5. At the same time, 4 sets a down-screen for 2. 1 looks to pass to 5 inside or to 2 for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOklahoma runs an early set against Michigan State to get an open 3 in the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 passes to 2 who passes back to 1 to get the defense moving. 5 moves up from the block to set a screen for 2 at the elbow. At the same time, 3 runs across the baseline to the opposite wing. 1 passes to 2 then moves to the left corner. 4 runs up to set a ball-screen for 2. 2 drives middle looking for a shot. If a shot isn't there, 2 passes to 5 replacing 4. 5 passes to 1 on the wing. 1 looks for a shot or to pass to 5 or 4 in the lane. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSteve Kerr's go to set late when the Warriors needed a score. Designed to get Steph Curry peeling off to the wing to attack the rim or kick to the corner for a 3. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw2 and 3 exchange wings around 5 and 4 at the elbows. Once 3 has the ball on the right wing, 1 moves to the short corner. 4 screens across for 5 at the elbow. If 5 cuts to the elbow, 4 rolls to the basket. If 5 gets the ball, he looks to swing the ball to 2. 5 and 3 then set a staggered down-screen for 1 in the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA really good BLOB set that Shaka Smart used to run at VCU against a man-to-man defense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawJust after the calendar year turned to 2015, the Wichita State Shockers were locked in a battle with Illinois State. Just prior to the final media timeout, WSU Head Coach Gregg Marshall dialed up this lob play to get the momentum swinging the Shockers way to help seal the game down the stretch. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is another baseline corner option used by Virginia to get Joe Harris the ball in the corner. The Cavaliers do a great job of moving without the ball making the defense chase shooters. In this option, Harris gets the ball in the corner looking for a shot. If a shot isn't there, Harris plays a two-man game with his 4 man for a pick & roll or pick & pop play in the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw#1 and #3 dribble full speed towards each other Once they meet, they make a change of direction move and speed dribble to the end of the line See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw4 sprints in from the trailer position to set a down-screen for 5. 5 runs up to set a ball-screen for 1. 1 drives middle as 5 rolls and 4 replaces 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIowa ran this BLOB set for a wide open 3 in their Round 2 rout of Davidson. This simple but effective set clears out the ball side of the floor allowing the stagger screen to do its job without being impeded by help side defenders. Seems too simple to work but the Hawkeyes got a wide open 3 and knocked it down to extended their lead on Davidson. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawArkansas runs a very basic pass and screen away attack from their 4-out transition alignment. They keep things very basic in the half court as their primary goal is to shoot and score quickly with their Fastest 40 attack. Often the trailing post downscreens for wings sprinting to the baseline. When a player passes, he screens away or basket cuts. The Hogs stay in four-out and pass, screen away and/or cut. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 passes to 2 and x3 jumps to ball and opens up slightly. 1 uses swim move to put x3 behind an receives pass for layup 1 throws ball out to 2, then closes out and becomes defender. Repeat drill with pass from 2 to 3. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this 4-out option from Division II Colorado Mesa, the shooter (3) gives the ball to 1 on a dribble hand-off. 1 then makes a quick pass to 2. 2 dribbles left as 3 and 1 set a staggered screen for 4. 4 cuts to the wing for shot and 3 cuts to the ball-side corner off of a screen from 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this flex option from the Utah Jazz, 1 dribbles up the floor as 3 sets a back-screen at the top of the key for 4 trailing the play. 4 cuts down to the block lookin for the pass from 1. If neither 3 or 4 are open, 4 sets a flex-screen for 5 and then cuts off of a staggered down-screen from 2 and 3. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe play starts with 3 guards out and the 2 posts inside on the blocks. 2 cuts down towards the low post then moves up the lane line to get the ball from 1. 3 clears to the opposite corner clearing space for a back-cut from 1. 5 sets the back-screen for 1 who looks to get the lob pass from 2. If the lob isn't open, 5 steps over to set a ball-screen at the top of the key. 2 attacks left to right with roll/replace action from 5 and 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA very common action among NBA teams is the Phoenix Drag, or in other words a ballscreen in transition before the defense can be set. They use this alot to get Steph attacking early in the offense to try and get easy scores. A big key to watch in this series is the way they run this ballscreen vs ICE defense. The Cavs ICE the ballscreens, or push the ballhandler to the sideline with two defenders, so the Warriors may try to have Draymond pop to the top of the key for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBrad Stevens took an underrated and a Boston Celtic team that had mid season trades and were expecting to head for an early draft pick to the playoffs. He is one of the best basketball minds in the NBA, and he runs a nice set for Isaiah Thomas with multiple options off of it. It starts with a dribble handoff to the trailing big and the point guard cuts off backscreen from the opposite big man at the elbow. The first option is for the point guard to "V" cut back off at the elbow and look for a shot opportunity. If there is not shot available, 5 will step up and set a ballscreen, because of the dribble handoff 4 is already spacing the floor, so the Spread Pick & Roll doesn't need to be setup. The next option is for 1 to continue off backscreen and set a flex screen for the wing man and then receive a down screen from 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw#1 can come off a ball screen from either #4 or #5 The first screener slips to the rim, the second screen pops #3 cuts to free throw line extended The ball is passed to the top of the key where the player looks high/low If the high/low is not there, the ball is reversed #4 and #1 set a staggered screen away for #2 See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawQuick hitter BLOB set used by Bill Self at Kansas. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith John Wall going down with an injury, the Wizards turned to Bradley Beal to be a facilitator and scorer in his absence. Wittman setup a nice set to create movement and to get Beal coming off a dribble handoff and get an open look. First Beal passes to the wing and then cuts off a UCLA screen from the big at the elbow, and then sits down in the post. The guard on the wing passes to the elbow and sets a down screen for Beal who then receives a dribble handoff from the big and looks to attack. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLSU used this play in the first half against NC State. On the sideline, LSU lines up with Hornsby in the corner (3). 1 passes the ball into 4 then 4 dribbles across the floor and passes back to 1. Hornsby then sets a cross-screen for 5. 4 sets a down screen for Hornsby who cuts up to the top of the key for a 3-point shot. It looks like LSU needs to keep finding Hornsby to stay in this game. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Houston Rockets have hurt teams alot this postseason by utilizing their power forwards as Pick & Roll ballhandlers and forcing the opponents two big men to both defend the Pick & Roll. They have used Josh Smith & Terrance Jones to create easy buckets against both the Mavericks and now the Clippers. They opened up Game 2 with this set and scored multiple times against the Mavericks. The Atlanta Hawks also utilized this set against the Wizards, getting an easy lob. This set was made famous by the Phoenix Suns 7 Seconds or Less offense, naming it "Elbow Get" as they utilized Diaw & Shawn Marion to score off of it often. Rockets get the ball to the power forward at the elbow (or lane line extended) and have Dwight Howard set a ballscreen and roll to the rim. See More
