Basketball Play - Indiana Fever - Ghost Spain Post Up

Indiana Fever - Ghost Spain Post Up

Todd Zasadil 05/19/2021

Down 7 the Fever had been taking advantage of their size in the post. They ran this set after a New York Liberty turnover for a mismatch on the block. Great set to get your post player a mismatch iso touch in the post. Also forces the defense to defend multiple actions. *New customers use code SAVE10 for 10% OFF Draw/Scout* See More

Basketball Play - Gauntlet Defense Drill

Gauntlet Defense Drill

Matt Hackenberg 12/06/2021

In this diagram and embedded video we take a look at a drill to emphasize some of the smaller details of individual and team defense. This can’t replace your shell drill, as I am a firm believer that the shell drill is the best baseline teacher for team defense. But this drill is a great way to brush up on techniques used on the defensive end. We used it usually once every two weeks or so as a change up. Basketball Play - 1-4 High: UCLA Floppy Duck

1-4 High: UCLA Floppy Duck

Matt Hackenberg 12/06/2021

In diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of a 1-4 high alignment. After a wing entry and UCLA screen, the ball is centered and there is an option to use screens on either side for a shooter. If a shot isn’t there off the screen, it’s time for those screeners to seal up for an interior touch.
