Favorite Send to FastDrawSteve Kerr has been my favorite coach to watch his actions all season after time outs and the playoffs have been no different. He runs great action here for a quick hitter shot, and a nice backdoor option. The biggest part of these sets is the fake dribble hand off to Steph at the top of the key, that fake freezes the big man's defender and allows for a clean pass. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawFour-Out continuity offense Tips for running 1-game: Make it your secondary break. Sprint off the rebound or opponent's made FG to these spots. When the ball is reversed, you are in 1-game After you pass to the high post, WAIT until they fully reverse. THEN cut hard right off their butt. (brush screen) It is the cutter's responsibility to time this. The high post is simply going to downscreen. When reversing to the single guard side, look for the overplay and backdoor cut When you have the ball at the wing DO NOT make pass to the high post until you have check the cuttter coming off the brush screen AND the screening post rolling back to you! Favorite Send to FastDrawStruggling to score against Golden State in Game 5, Dave Joerger called a timeout and setup a nice "Blind Pig" set to get an easy score. Knowing that Golden State was playing aggressive and overhelping on any screen that a guard cut off of, he had Gasol flash to the high post after Conley exited the screen and received the ball. After he caught the ball, Conley cut backdoor with his man on the high side, and Gasol hit him with a nice backdoor pass for a floater. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Toronto Raptors run a nice set to get Demar Derozan moving into a quick jump shot or backdoor opportunity. Starting off with a hi ballscreen for Lowry and as he comes off it 5 seals his man in the post. After the post entry 5 turns and looks to either dribble handoff to 2 or if he is overplayed he cuts backdoor for a layup. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCoaches generally watch what other coaches use in their offense and if they like the action or think that it can be used for their personnel, they steal it. Kerr uses a set that Doc Rivers has been utilizing for JJ Redick to get an open shot. This set flows in transition nicely for the Warriors who like to run the "Phoenix Drag" screen in transition, and they get good shots out of it. Typically Steph runs the point in this set, but against New Orleans Kerr has Iguadola handle in order to get Steph a shot. Iguadola dribbles at Steph who cuts backdoor, then receives a ballscreen (Drag) and dribbles off of it. Opposite wing cuts hard to the rim pulling his defender with him, then Steph sprints off down screen for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA counter to the normal 3 set, the big that is high is overplayed cuts backdoor and receives a lob. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawKentucky ran a nice counter out of a normal set they have ran all year. Typically they set a high Pick & Roll and the two men on the baseline screen off each other and read the defense. Kentucky ran a counter for a lob and instead of setting the PNR the big man steps up and cuts backdoor off a backscreen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBeautiful backdoor set by UNI. Key to the play enter to 5 at elbow after he sets the first screen in the ProCut. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach Wooden preached ball movement from side-to-side, making the defense move frequently and never letting the ball settle. With lots of quick passes in 10 to 15 foot gaps, Wooden was a master at designing plays that forced his teams to share the ball. As a counter, many defenses would start to jump passing lanes or make perimeter passing more difficult. When that would occur, Wooden would run "Indiana", a backdoor set that played through the high post. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWe are a base 4-out team and we use a lot of dribble drive action in our motion. Here is an easy way to create a driving angle and backdoor. We run this after we run our "Trigger" set that has multiple drives to the elbow. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBilly Donovan's Florida Gators ran this baseline out of bounds play vs Vanderbilt to give them the go-ahead bucket with 2 seconds remaining to eventually clinch the game. The ballscreen action after the ball is inbounded is great and occupies the eyes of the weak side defense, which allowed for the backdoor dunk. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawStanford runs this variation of the Triangle Offense. They use the "pinch post" to flare screen for the guard. He then executes a dribble handoff which can turn into a backdoor on the overplay or two-man action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOption #3 of the basic triangle is the entry to the free throw line. The first look is in the post, then reversal for the pinch post option. If both of those are overplayed then look at the cutter from the backside to the foul line. The "blind pig" backdoor play is set up if the defense is overplayed See More
